Got Lost?
So Stage 12 just came to an end at Dakar, and after leading through two checkpoints, Robby got lost and ended up in a rock garden. The big question is, “What is a rock garden?” Do people put water on these rocks and hop that they grow?
Either way, like all guys in a truck, he found his way back into the race, but finished 13th for the stage. With only 3 stages left, Robby Gordon and team Pro-Comp sit in 8th overall place. He’s got stones for racing this thing, but if he doesn’t get it in gear, he will lose to a Frenchmen. The only way that’s okay is if we are talking about bicycles.
“We gave up about 20 minutes which is very disappointing since we have had no mechanical issues so far,” explained Gordon. “Tomorrow we’ll start closer to the front so hopefully we can make up some ground and try to win another stage.” Way to keep it positive Robby. Don’t give up to the French-ies. Don’t ever give up!
Socal says: If you want more info about this race, check out the links below. I did hear that Dakar footage is actually televised on the Versus network. If you know what channel that is on your TV, it might be a sign that you watch too much television. Either way, we really like this race. Would love to see a two-week off-road race around the US … or just a loop through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.
